In addition to developing space plans for large-scale projects consisting of work areas programmed for 200-1000 or more employees, Marie specializes in programming spaces to suit the business needs and corporate strategic goals for a variety of business models. Fast track design/build projects, which involve many partners in many locations, are typical for her internet-leveraged global communication style. Prior to founding InnerSpace, Marie had 5 years of experience with a large Jacksonville, Florida systems furniture dealership that serviced large corporate call center clients such America Online, Convergys Corporation (builds and operates call centers in the United States, Canada and India), Mayo Clinic, BellSouth, Prudential Insurance, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida, Aetna Insurance Company and JAX Navy Federal Credit Union. During five years as a Senior Interior Designer in the facility management department at Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Florida, Marie managed several large-scale projects including the renovation and asbestos abatement of the company’s home office tower in downtown Jacksonville, Florida. A graduate of Endicott College in Beverly, Massachusetts (A. S., Interior Design), Marie continues to enhance her education through regular attendance at design related training sessions and conferences. Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation has licensed Marie as an Interior Designer since 1995 and she is NCIQD certified since 1993. Marie is a past professional member of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) and has served on the Board of Directors in their Florida and Connecticut Chapters. Forever a student, Marie also loves to share her knowledge. She is a former adjunct professor at Florida Community College Jacksonville and has taught commercial interior design at Daytona Beach Community College. She has trained interior design professionals to use AutoCAD and she has presented educational sessions at the International Facility Management Association’s World Workplace and at NeoCon in Chicago (the world’s largest furniture trade show). Marie’s Wiring and Cabling for Today’s Systems Furniture and Software for Systems Furniture has been published by facility management and interior design organizations. |
